Project Description
Located in the South Tower of Dexter Yard—winner of the 2022 NAIOP Office Development of the Year and the 2023 Commercial Masonry Award—Shape Therapeutics’ new headquarters spans seven floors. Four of these floors are designed as a 50/50 split between lab and office space, while the remaining three are dedicated entirely to office and amenity areas. The headquarters includes Shape’s primary gathering space, offering sweeping views of South Lake Union. As the company's central hub, the new space supports Shape’s mission to cure diseases caused by malfunctioning proteins through innovative RNA programming.
Our Approach
Both WCG construction project managers and the WCG DayOne team played integral roles in the design, construction, and move management for Shape’s new headquarters. On the construction side, WCG was involved from the outset—helping onboard the design and construction teams—and remained engaged through construction closeout. Similarly, the WCG DayOne team supported the project from the early stages, beginning with equipment list development and its integration into schematic design, to managing the move-in following construction completion. Given that 700 Dexter is a hub of activity with multiple tenant move-ins, all construction and move-related coordination required close collaboration with the landlord team.
